To calculate the allocation standard of bed resources of Qingdao city in 2020 in order to provide the decision-making basis for the regional health planning of Qingdao city from 2016 to 2020. Methods: Health service demand method. Results: By 2020, for Qingdao City, the total beds allocation standard is 68 290, 2500 rehabilitation beds, 12 708 aged care beds, 53100 treatment beds, 1988 obstetric beds, 3 493 pediatric beds, 4 781 beds in mental health and 1 404 infectious disease beds. Conclusion: The allocation of bed resources should have some flexibility to meet the needs of urban development as well as the needs of health services, and it is recommended to adopt the management method of bed classification.
