Abstract:Objective: To calculate the shortage of talents of medical and health care in Jiangsu Province, and to explore the calculating methods of the shortage of health professionals. Methods: Using qualitative and quantitative research methods to calculate from the demand supply, resource allocation and other dimensions. Results: After calculating the shortage of talents in Jiangsu Province, there currently are 15 sections with varying degrees of shortage. Occupational diseases, medical science, department of emergency medicine, pediatrics and dermatology are very shortage department. Conclusion: The methods of estimates about the shortage of health professionals require simple methods and operation, easy access to data and the consider of the social influence scope. And it also need analyze on the basis of the actual situation in the region, and establish a dynamic adjustment mechanism and update in real time.
