Abstract:Objective:Analyze the effect of the free screening program for cervical cancer among rural women in Shaanxi province and evaluate it from the perspective of economics, to provide policy recommendations for the project.Methods:Descriptive statistics were used toanalysis the condition of the implementation of the project and the detection of the diseases,through three kinds of economic methods of cost-effectiveness ,cost-benefit, cost-utility to evaluate the project. Results:The awareness rate of the cancer-related knowledge and the treatment rate of the gynecological diseases were low,the coverage rate increased from 18.42% of the first cycle (2009-2011) to 45.17% of the second period (2012-2014).From 2009 to 2014, the Early Detection Cost Index was 0.72-1.99,the cost-benefit ratio was 0.1445-0.1461,Incremental cost utility ratio and per capita GDP ratio was 0.5740-0.5816,through the economic evaluation,the project can achieve good effectiveness, benefit and utility.Conclusion:Mobilize the majority of women, do a diversification and seamless publicity, appropriately increase the financial investment, ensure the funding can release timely , continue to deepen and improve the existing program.
