To calculate the workloads of county doctors’ in National Essential Public Health Service Project. Method: 300 township hospitals from six provinces were enrolled in this study, and health services information and funding data in the past year were collected to estimate the relationship between workloads and allocation funding among county doctors. Results: 47.0% of all the work required by National Essential Public Health Service Project in township hospitals were carried out by county doctors, whereas, only 35.8% funding was allocated to them. The proportion of workload was lower than the proportion of funding in 5 provinces. Conclusions: The relationship between workloads and allocation funding among county doctors in National Essential Public Health Service Project was imbalanced.
