Objective: according to the related data of total health expenditure of Chongqing City 2010-2014, focuses on the analysis of financing the overall level of total health expenditure of Chongqing City, structural adjustment and change trend, and carried on the comparison with the national average data, put forward suggestions for improvement. Methods: the total health expenditure in Chongqing City 2010-2014 was calculated by the method of financing sources, and the results were analyzed. Results: and the total expenditure and the per capita total health expenditure of Chongqing City showed an increasing trend year by year, out of pocket payment proportion in 2014 to 29.97%, government health expenditure, social health expenditure and out of pocket payment’s structure was reasonable. Conclusion: the government and the social health expenditure should be increased, and then reduce the out of pocket payment part, reduce the economic burden of disease, and make the health financing mechanism more reasonable.
