Objective To analyze the structural characteristics and Influencing factors of inpatient expenses for patients with cerebral infarction, so as to control the increasing growth of medical expenses, reasonably utilize health resources and design scientific compensation standard. Methods The cost list of patients with cerebral infarction in a tertiary hospital of Qiqihar from 2014 to 2016 was collected to analyze the changing trend and influencing factors of inpatient expenses based on descriptive statistic methods. Results Both the number of patients with cerebral infarction and the inpatient expense s were increased, while the payment methods, hospital condition, region type, length of stay and proportion of drugs were the important factors for inpatient expenses. Conclusion Decreasing inpatient length and drug expenses were the keys for decreasing medical expenses for patients with cerebral infarction.
