Incorporating patient preference information in clinical diagnosis and treatment decisions improves service quality and reduces the cost of the healthcare system noted. As a method of eliciting patient preferences，discrete choice experiments are well established in foreign countries，but are less commonly used in China. Empirical studies of discrete choice experimental methods are reviewed to study clinical diagnosis and treatment preferences in Chinese populations to inform subsequent research.
