Objective: To analyze and the agglomeration degree of health resources of 41 cities in the Yangtze River Delta, and describe the equity of the health resource allocation between central cities and the general cities. Methods: Based on the agglomeration degree, the data of 2020 were calculated and compared from the dimension of geography, population and economics. Results: The Health Resource Agglomeration Degree (HRAD) of medical institutions, beds and human resources for health in central cities was more than 1,and HRAD in general cities was less than 1,which was far from the central cities. The number of cities with Population Agglomeration Degree ( PAD ) ≥slant 1 was more than cities with HRAD / PAD ≥slant 1. Conclusion: High quality health resources are concentrated in the Yangtze River Delta, especially in the provincial capital cities. There are differences in the distribution of health resources among provinces, central cities and general cities in the Yangtze River Delta Region. The size and density of the regional population will be the focus to improve the equity of the rational internal health resources allocation in the Yangtze River Delta.
