Diagnosis-Intervention Packet (DIP) is one of the biggest challenges faced by medical institutions of China in the next few years. It combs the key points of DIP，and concluded that DIP mainly influenced the income of medical institutions from the paths of score and point value. The main methods of medical institutions to deal with DIP are summarized，including improving the quality of medical records，strengthening cost control and adjusting performance appraisal. It further proposes the operation strategy of medical institutions from the aspects of consolidating their own positioning，strengthening vertical cooperation and focusing on industry alliance.
