As a sporting powerhouse, Germany’s sports health care system has undergone a relatively complete innovation process along with the development of society. It is important to analyze the mature sports medical insurance system in Germany in order to op- timize the sports medical insurance system in China and to achieve the ambitious goals of the Plan. Through literature and logical anal- ysis, it analyzes the successful experience of the German sports medical insurance system and proposes inspirations for the optimiza- tion and reform of the sports medical insurance system in China. It concludes that the German sports medical security system has the successful experience of a complete medical system with distinctive levels of treatment, a high degree of specialization and a clear divi- sion of responsibilities, a mature combination of medical research and a close output of results, and a perfect subsidiary function and a first-class service system.
